How this SNAP shoot works:
On camera equipment, politely ask a model to shoot with you, pick a set to shoot on for 20 minutes. Get models info to send her some high res images. Repeat throughout the day.
All photogs are required to release through email at least 1 image of each model they shot with up to 3 weeks post-event and to upload a low res onto www.snapmup.com

A list of available email addresses will be given out at the end of the day to all attendees


PHOTOGRAPHER: $150 day of event, pay at the door.

MODEL: $30 day of event. Arrive 1PM with your hair, makeup and outfit complete

Vintage Inspired Bathing Suits supplied by Skinny Dip Clothing: Sailor, Cherries, Polka Dots and more! Free to use that day!

Storage space is only available for featured models.
Makeup artists will have a discount rate card for touch-ups.

Each month SNAPMUP.com does a theme specific VIP shoot which holds about 50 people.
For the month of August, we are featuring the HOTTEST pinup, retro burlesque models on carefully crafted themed sets.

Primal Stare Studios (Tom from Visual Distress/Mark Ventrini) have graciously offered their AWARD WINNING studio to host this event near Red Bank/Asbury Park NJ. Mark Ventrini is a well established photographer working with various playboy models and Tom has had worked with numerous amazing models offering them top notched images.

PRIMAL STARE STUDIOS is a STATE OF THE ART STUDIO which holds cycloramas, dozens of sets, available lighting equipment, a spacious outside shooting area, 4 makeup stations, changing room, internet access and more.

Tarilyn Quinn from SNAP has been putting these events together for fun and creativity to share within a community, so you will be able to get a plethora of portfolio images back between various talented photographers and models

Designer: The Victoria Velvet Collection launched in 1999 offering an ever evolving array of corset-based costumes. I have been designing and sewing from the age of 12 and made most of the costumes and designed the shows I used while performing. The Victoria Velvet Collection was born of my love of costume design and vintage fashion I embarked on this new endeavor after I stopped touring as a way to keep the beautiful costumes I had so loved about the stage in my life. At that point I never knew it would grow to this.

Through the years we have made corset costumes in the thousands and one of a kind altered couture and original design gowns for the girl or boy next door to stars. I have dressed drag queens to pageant queens and everyone in between and have loved it all. Our creations are offered through our website VictoriaVelvet.com, Etsy, eBay and various trunk shows and boutiques across the world.
Victoria Velvet’s costumes have been used worldwide in film, print, stage shows, theater, symphony productions, pageants, television and more. We offer a standard line of corset costumes and one of a kind gowns and finery from Pin Up to Hollywood Regency glam using vintage fabrics, trims, wedding gowns and other finds.

PINUP GUIDELINES


ADMISSION
- Unless being featured on the web-flyer, each person pays admission fee, this includes photographers AND assistants. All non-listed persons will be rejected at the door.
- To avoid clutter, photographers are encouraged to bring any on-camera equipment or small equipment with battery packs, all sets will be lit with continuous or natural light. Plugs will be available should you need them to recharge batteries.
- Themed Wardrobe Stylists, Makeup Artists & Hairstylists are free to attend. You must be on the list to attend. All non-listed will be rejected at door. email: pinup@tarilynquinn.com to join.
- Any attendees other than Muas, Stylists and Features must pay advance booking fee or full fee at door day of event. This includes both: Photographers AND Assistants
- ONLY 20 Photographer Limit with 20 Assistant Limit. If an assistant is booked, they must remain with you.
- Unlimited Model Space, all models are welcomed as long as they are dressed for the theme
- Models paying the day of the event are to arrive at 1pm and are encouraged to only bring 1 or 2 outfits. Storage space will be available to VIP featured models only.


ARRIVAL
- Address of Primal Stare Studios is 44 Gilbert Street West, Tinton Falls, NJ 07701 - Photographer sign-in begins 11AM-1PM. Shooting begins 1PM-6PM.
- Featured Models must arrive at 11AM to have your hair and makeup ready to go by 1PM if you scheduled with our MUA.
- All other models must arrive at 1pm READY TO SHOOT.
- Escorts are allowed to drop you off, check the studio out, but must leave.


STYLING
- A HEAD MUA/HAIR STYLIST is available for up to 10 featured models only, all other models must check her rate-card the day of the event. It is encouraged to do your own hair/makeup unless otherwise needed.

IMAGES
- Photographers must release at least 1 image of each model to www.snapmup.com and emailed directly to her.
- Photographers are required to sign a limited promotional release, you must bring your own Model Release and Take a picture of the models ID on your own terms.
- Models are responsible for retrieving their own images, make sure to get the email address of each photographer you shoot with.
- Models must bring their ID in accordance to the new 2257 laws.


PAYMENT - please read carefully
- PHOTOGRAPHERS: $60! ($50 prepay limit has been reached)
- MODELS: $25
- DAY OF THE EVENT: Admission the DAY OF THE EVENT is $30 for Models, $150 to photographers if room is available. This encourages models and photogs to book early. We want to see a packed house bustling with activity! - ASSISTANTS are counted as attendees and must pay the photographer fees to attend. All non-listed persons will be rejected at door. I am avoiding any problems of non-paid attendees picking up a camera and shooting. It is unfair!

REFUNDS
- Booking admission through paypal on www.snapmup.com covers a full refund if event is canceled or moved and you no longer wish to participate due to the move. Should the event be moved, a deadline will be given for a withdraw response through email. ALL other transactions are non-refundable.
SCHEDULING
It is recommended to schedule ahead of time with the models through the MM list I provided of all those involved. It is located here:http://www.modelmayhem.com/list.php?list_id=216877&id=119449
OR you can schedule models on the spot the day of the event. It is entirely up to you.

Be polite when asking each other to shoot, models and photographers can both decline any who they do not wish to shoot with. Do not harass each other.
Do not schedule for any longer than 20 minutes for each model/photog.
Models can share sets with other models if they want to but it still counts as 20 minutes (not 40 min if 2 models are on the set together)


SHOOTING
There is NO SHOOTING over each others shoulders! You must politely ask to share a set with the person who is on it first and be ok with being declined.
Both models and photographers should not use a set for more than 20 minutes. Be polite to those around you. You can always come back to a set.
Models may share sets and shoot together in groups up to about 5 models

DON'T HOG THE SETS!

VIOLATIONS
If you break these rules, you will be asked to stop the first time. Do it again and you will be asked to leave without refund.


ADDITIONAL: SASSY PINUP POSTCARDS Idea

Great news! Inspired by Bella Berlin’s email to uplift spirits of the troops in Iraq, I looked into getting 4x6 postcards printed up to send over. I was directed to a site called clubflyers.com that allows free 1 side printing with their logo/info on the other side with only $15 shipping.

I was hoping we could submit images from the pinup shootout to create 4x6 postcards. Here’s a couple of ways to do it.

#1 Photogs submit their best images of each model they shot with. Images are voted on through a dedicated forum on www.snapmup.com 1-2 images per month are made into postcards. The winners receive 50 postcards each, SNAP* keeps 100 to give out for free, and the remaining 300 are sent to the troops in Iraq.

#2 The photog or model can donate $15 for the shipping charges and automatically submit their image to be printed. Photogs get 50 postcards, the Model gets 50 postcards, SNAP gets 100 to give out for free and the rest are sent to the troops.

You can or cannot support the war, but it would be nice to lift their spirits with some Sassy Pinup Postcards.

What I would need from the models on the 29th are signatures and a little handwritten note of inspiration to scan and photoshop on whatever image is chosen. The photographer would then be contacted to also provide their logo and website link if they have one.
I can just picture the post cards hanging up on a wall somewhere. ;D
